Reach, Taffy reach!

As cute as he is, our little Taffy…he is a bit simple!

You couldn’t blame him for trying to reach those twinkly things in the sky though could you? You can’t even knock the little fella, because this is the most animated we’ve seen him.

Although you aren’t able to see Taffy’s face, his actions tell all: Faith, trust and with a little bit of naivety and then throw in a simple nature, you have a cute little monkey reaching for some stars.

Thank goodness he doesn’t have moth wings!

It may seem that I’ve been abandoning my peeps…HELL NO!

I’ve just merely been…erm..busy. Loads of interesting projects make for majorly interesting posts (ahem!). Full ‘crochet’ breakfasts, Taffy, crochet, vinyl toys, coasters, crochet…it goes on and on, so piss off! Let me finish!

WoW is on a creative roll, and it doesn’t just stop at painting and skipping and crafting, oh no no!

There are loads of things going on behind the scenes, but you peeps are going to have to be patient, and just bare with me.

As you know, I have a wee fascination with the concept of Hindu Gods, and here is one of my favourites…Hanuman.

Our little monkey-mate depicts loyalty, love, bravery and strength and fearlessness (oh, and he can grow to whatever height he wants…how cool is that?). A slight resemblance to Taffy? Of course, they’re bro’s.

So this cute little fella can be cuddled by kids and Godzilla-sized fans alike.

Oh, and he’s the mascot for an afore-mentioned project.

…a little Indian Heritage.

Hanuman and friends (and enemies)

You know at WoW, we love our comic books, and when I was handed a pile of comics that portray the ageless Indian heritage…well let me tell you, I was WELL excited!

I devoured the books that were first published in 1971 by India Book House Limited, and some of those concepts, I gotta tell ya are pretty out there, but I’m certainly a fan. The endings can be pretty abrupt though…but then again, who wants an epilogue?

A bit of inspiration swimming around to say the least… an bit of Taffy action…

Taffy's Dream

We’re all aware of the the hype, surrounding the Monkey stage play that has gripped London, and we’re all even more aware of the ‘monkey magic’ fever that has been ever so present since the first airing of the show in 1979.

Here is a member of that army that I mentioned a couple of days ago, his name is Taffy, and he’s as cute as a button…well he would be if buttons were cute!

I have done two canvasses, but I’m afraid these babies are reserved for two equally as cute little toddlers: Jet and Joel…Happy Birthday Jet, sorry we missed your party.
